News and Events for the week of August 9

Good Monday Morning,

Thank you to everyone who attended our Registration Fair on Saturday.

More than 1,000 people visited our campus!

Board of Trustees Meeting

At the Board of Trustees meeting last Wednesday, the Board voted on and approved two new Board Policies which place requirements for the use of face coverings and vaccinations to access all of our colleges.

  • The new vaccination policy requires all District employees and students to present proof that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or to undergo regular testing for COVID-19 infection and produce proof of negative COVID-19 results.
  • The new face coverings policy strengthens our current mandate and orders everyone, regardless of their vaccination status, to wear a facial covering or mask indoors.

The vaccination policy could be fully operational within about two months. The face covering policy is already in effect. I know there are many questions regarding these two new policies. We will be providing more information as the District moves ahead with implementation.
