Welcome to the LACC Law & Administration of Justice Department

The Law & Administration of Justice Department includes the Administration of Justice program, the Paralegal Studies program, the Pathway to Law School curriculum, and universal law classes.

The Law & Administration of Justice programs stress practical application in fundamental concepts and tasks of legal issues and law enforcement.

The Administration of Justice program is a "hands-on" forensic-oriented program that teaches students the fundamental concepts and tasks of law enforcement and concentrates on investigative skills. Our program truly prepares students to seek employment in the workforce.

The Paralegal Studies program provides students who are interested in a career as an employee in a law office or courthouse the opportunity to assist in the performance of legal services in civil and criminal matters. The program is also valuable to students seeking employment in fields such as real estate, insurance, banking, and brokerage.

The Pathway to Law School curriculum is designed for students who aspire to law school.  The Pathway curriculum is made up of eight, multidisciplinary courses to prepare students academically for success in law school and with a career based on a law degree.

The universal law classes include Business Law, Civil Rights Law, and Street Law. These transferable courses are designed to provide students with essential knowledge of legal principles for success in many careers.

Mission Statement

The mission of the LACC Law and Administration of Justice department is to prepare students for successful careers in legal work, to provide students with life skills in legal issues, and to prepare students to be informed, thoughtful, global citizens.
