Password Change/Reset

Network/Email Password 
  • Your LACC network and email usernames are one and the same, therefore the password is the same.
  • When you change your network password, you are also changing your email password.
  • To change your network password, use the instructions below.
  • To reset your network password to your default password, call IT Help Desk at extension 2049.
Changing Network/Email Password Using Your LACC Computer

These instructions are for computers using Windows.Windows Security window

  1. Start and log into your computer as you would normally do.
  2. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. The “Windows Security” window will open.
  3. Click "Change Password". The "Change Password" window will open.

4. Type in your current password (old password) and new password in the appropriate fields, and then click "OK".

5. Then, click Cancel to exit the “Window Security” window.

 

 

Changing Network/Email Password Using the LACC Web Site
  1. Log on to your email from the school Web site.
    (School Web site --> "Faculty & Staff: INSIDE LACC"--> "Campus Email".)
  2. Click on “Options" on the left bar. Options tab

3. Scroll down to "Password" and click “Change Password".

Voicemail Password
  • To change your voicemail password, use the instructions below.
  • To reset your voicemail password to your default password, call IT Help Desk at extension 2049.
  1. Dial ext. 4599 (from off-campus dial 323-953-4599).
  2. When the greeting is being played, press the star (*) key.
  3. When prompted for your ID number, enter your voice mail number followed by the pound (#) key.
  4. When prompted for your password, enter your default password followed by the pound (#) key.
  5. Press 4 to change your Setup.
  6. Press 3 to change your Personal settings.
  7. Select the Change-Your-Password option. Then, follow the instructions.
DEC Password
  • The DEC username and password is used for DEC, Instructor System Web site and Workforce Development Web site.
  • Your DEC username and password are automatically issued by the LACCD District Office and they could be different from your LACC username and password.
  • To change your DEC password, use the instructions below.
  • To reset your DEC password to your default password, call IT Help Desk at extension 2049.
  • Faculty and staff can change their DEC password by logging into the “Faculty Services - Instructor System” on the LACCD Web site.
Changing DEC Password
  • Go to the LACCD Web site (WWW.LACCD.EDU).Instructor/Administrative Login Window
  • Click on "Faculty & Staff", then click on “Faculty Services - Instructor System”.
  • Then, click on “LOG ON TO THE INSTRUCTOR SYSTEM HERE”
  • If Faculty, click on the Instructor System button. If staff, click on the Administrative System button.
  • Log in using your DEC username and password.
  • Click “Change Password”. When done, remember to sign off. 
LACCD Portal Password
  • The the LACCD portal username and password are used to access to Personnel Change Request system (PCR), Business Warehouse (BW) and the Employee Self-Service system (ESS).
  • To reset or change your password, use the "click here to reset it" link in the Portal Logon Page.
