Dates to Know

The following is a list of important financial aid dates to know:

July 22, 2019
Loans: first day to submit a loan application packet for the 2019-2020 academic year

July 26, 2019
Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Summer 2019.

August 2,2019
Loans: The last date to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Summer  2019.

September 2
Cal Grant: Second deadline for applicants to file their FAFSA or Dream Application and GPA form to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) Competitive Awards (only for california community colleges)

October 1
Every year, the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year becomes available.

November 8, 2019
Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Fall 2019.

November 22, 2019
Loans: The last date to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Fall 2019.

January 17, 2020
Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Winter 2020.

January 17, 2020
Loans: The last date to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Winter 2020.

March 2
Cal Grant: First deadline for applicants to file their FAFSA or Dream Application and GPA form to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) eligibility.

April 24, 2020
Appeals: Deadline to submit 1st and 2nd level Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals for Spring 2020.

May 1
Work Study: Priority deadline to complete a FAFSA for Federal Work-Study consideration. You must indicate interest in the Federal Work Study Program on your FAFSA.

May 8, 2020
Loans: The last date to submit a student loan packet or any pending student loan items for Spring 2020.

June 8, 2020
Deadline to submit any required documents to complete your financial aid file for Spring 2020.

June 30
Last day to complete and submit a FAFSA for the current academic year.

June 30
Fee Waiver: Deadline to apply for the California Communty Colleges Promise Grant (Fee Waiver) for the current academic year.

July 1
Priority date for being considered for campus-based aid for the new academic year: Applicants whose files are completed by this date may be considered for Federal FWS and Federal SEOG.

July 1
Priority date for the next academic year: Applicants who submit the required documents to the Financial Aid Office for processing by this date will most likely receive their aid at the beginning of the Fall semester.
