Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy’s Production of THE SANDSTORM Invited to Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Region VIII Festival.

In anticipation of touring to the Region VIII Festival, the Theatre Academy will be re-mounting The Sandstorm Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th.

Don’t miss this final opportunity to see our award-winning production!

On September 10th 2001 actor Sean Huze from Baton Rouge was pursuing a career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles.

Days later he enlisted in the Marine Corps. On February 6th, 2003 he was USMC Corporal Huze, deployed to Iraq as a rifleman whose months long tour of duty took him from Kuwait to Baghdad. Just ten days after his discharge from the USMC he starred in his own story of his experience during the invasion of Iraq, his debut play THE SANDSTORM, STORIES FROM THE FRONT.

The play, performed by Academy students and directed by the Theatre Academy’s Head of Acting, Louie Piday, is a gripping retelling of Mr. Huze combat experience.
