DESCRIPTION: (For the non-music major.) A study of the fundamentals of music including
notation, major and minor key signatures and scales, intervals, time signatures and rhythms,

PREREQUISITE: Music 200 with a satisfactory grade or better. DESCRIPTION: Study of
diatonic harmony such as primary and secondary triads, the dominant seventh chord and their
inversions. Also includes harmonizing figured and unfigured bass, simple melodies, and the
