The Real Estate curriculum has been
designed by the Business Administration Department for students who
plan to enter the field
in such areas as sales, brokerage, management, and escrows. The
program prepares students for employment and qualifies them for the
real estate brokers examination. Note: Real Estate courses
may not
be offered on a regular basis due
to fluctuating demands on the Real
Estate market. |

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES |
|
Employment opportunities exist in sales, with real estate finance
organizations, appraising, or with title companies. Real Estate
professionals are needed all over, but employment is most
concentrated in large urban areas and smaller rapidly growing
communities. Many "moonlighters," homemakers and retired persons are
attracted to real estate sales due to the flexible and part-time
work schedules characteristic of this field. |
|
REAL ESTATE |
|
Employment of real estate agents and brokers is
expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations
for the next several years. Salary potential is vast but is
typically between approximately $19,000 to $46,500 per year for
salaried agents. |
