CA Early Childhood Mentor Program

CA Early Childhood Mentor Program

The California Early Childhood Mentor Program is a state-wide effort to improve the quality of child care. We provide training and support for early childhood professionals so that they, in turn, will be able to continue providing high-quality services. Through the Mentor Program, the Child Development Department at Los Angeles City College develops a selection process where mentor teachers and directors are identified and then certified. These early childhood teachers/directors provide mentoring to our Child Development students. On-going professional development, including monthly seminars, and stipends for mentoring and in-service training are an important benefit to the early childhood professionals who are a part of Los Angeles City College’s Mentor Program.
