BOOKKEEPING/ACCOUNTING ANALYSIS & CONCEPTS CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

This is a hands-on course where students learn the process of journalizing, posting, adjusting and closing a set of books for a make-shift business. Students will learn how to use the trial balance sheet. In addition, students will learn horizontal analysis, vertical analysis, trend analysis and how financial ratios are used tin accessing the company’s financial position. Students should bring a calculator to use when doing their analysis. A “Certificate of Completion” will be awarded upon completion of the course. Material fee of $20 payable in class.

QUICKBOOKS FUNDAMENTALS CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Learn the fundamentals of QuickBooks including, navigating the software, setting up a company file, working with Lists, Bank Accounts, entering and paying bills, tracking/paying sales tax and reconciling bank accounts. This is a “hands on” course where students will have access to a computer in class to enter and process data. A Certificate of Completion is included with the material fee and will be awarded upon completion of the course. Limited enrollment. Material fee of $20 payable in class. This is a hands on a course using some of the more advanced features of QuickBooks including: Purchase Orders, Estimates, Customizing Forms and Reports, Fixed Asset Recording with Depreciation, Long Term Note amortization, Inventory tracking and adjusting, Petty Cash Accounting, Job Costing and Payroll set-up. A ”Certificate of Completion” is included in the material fee and will be awarded upon completion of the course. Material fee of $20 payable in class.  Prerequisite: Quickbooks I.
