Become a Pharmacy Technician In Seven Months!

Pharmacy Technicians are in high demand, with job opportunities projected to grow 25 percent by 2016. The prescription drug industry is changing everyday. With those changes comes a need for a new wave of highly-trained pharmacy technicians. Successful graduated of this program are prepares for careers in retail and hospital pharmacy settings. A Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with mixing and packing prescriptions; referring clients to the pharmacists for counseling; inventory control and purchasing; as well as collecting payment and coordinate billing. The course combines 182 hours of classroom instruction (including 42 hours online), with 120 hours of pharmacy externship to provide you with a complete learning experience.

FEE

Class fee of $2,895 covers books, supplies, externship, and course completion certificate. A payment plan is available.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion graduates will receive a certificate of completion and become elegible to apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of California.

PRE-REQUISITE

Minimum 18 years of age and high school completion or its equivalent. Students need competency in, or completion of, a basic computer operations class. Students will be required to have access to the Internet, printing capabilities, and an email address. A good foundation in Math and English is recommended for students in the program.
