Tuition is only $11 a unit forSave money on your college education, at LACC. California residents! Even if you are not a resident, it's still one of the nation's best education bargains.  If you are building degree units, you will save at least several hundred or even thousands of dollars by beginning at LACC.     Whether your goal is a career or expanding your knowledge, we start at the VERY beginning... like how to hold and focus a camera.
You'll need your own 35 mm camera capable of manual settings for shutter speed and apertures, and a lens that is between 50mm and 125mm.
You will provide your own supplies such as enlarging paper and film, with an average cost of around $275 a semester.
We supply chemicals, darkrooms, studios and most equipment, including view cameras, strobes, etc.
Most likely, you'll finish our intro class making pro quality B&W prints from negatives you've exposed and processed yourself.  Then you can explore the options of color lab technology, photoillustration, fine art photography, photojournalism, portraiture, digital imaging, etc.  Also, most classes in our program are directly transferable as undergraduate units to the Cal State and University of California systems, as well as other colleges and universities.
Applications?  Requirements?  Housing? Expenses? International Students? Unit Transfers? Degrees? Scholarships? Transportation?

Even if you are not an International Student, you'll find lots of very helpful information at our International Student Program Web site
