Meet the Professor
Christine Park

Ms. Christine Park is the Assistant Professor of Music in Piano and Theory at Los Angeles City College.
Her education comes from California State University Northridge in Piano Performance and Music Education, the Juilliard School of Music in New York City with Dalcroze and Early Childhood Music, and the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory and Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori de Pianoforte in Florence, Italy, with Piano Performance, Italian Baroque Musicology and Keyboard Collaborative Arts.
Ms. Park is involved in various solo and chamber music recitals and has performed with the members of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Philharmonic and she continues to perform with them throughout Southern California. She also enjoys musical theatre productions and has been involved in many throughout the Los Angeles area, including shows such as Oliver, Grease, Chorus Line, Miss Saigon and Les Miserables.
Prior to her arrival at Los Angeles City College, Ms. Park taught at Our Savior's First Lutheran School in Granada Hills for six years as the music teacher and the choir director. She has also been on the Faculty at the University of La Verne and the Director of Music at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendale for ten years.
Ms. Park currently teaches different levels of piano and theory classes, along with early childhood music, chamber music and piano ensemble.
