David Stahl

David Stahl hails from the state of Ohio. He was the winner of the 4 year Van Cliburn Scholarship at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati where he received his Bachelors of Music Degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of David bar-Illan and Bela Siki. Then after studying with Aube Tzerko at the Aspen Music Festival, he went on to earn his MFA degree in Piano Performance with Mr. Tzerko at UCLA. He has performed numerous solo and chamber recitals in Europe and the U.S. and performed the Tchaikowsky Piano Concerto #1 with the Maui Symphony. His work as a musician in L.A. has included playing piano at Nordstrom, for many private functions, and lots of community theater both as rehearsal pianist and as musical director and conductor.
Mr. Stahl began work for LACCD at Harbor College as an accompanist in 1991 and shortly thereafter as a part-time instructor in Piano and Fundamentals of Music. For one year he also taught Piano and Electronic Music at Hamilton Academy of Music. Since April of 1999, David has been the full-time Commercial Voice Accompanist at City College where he also teaches piano.
