  1. Write chords, harmonize melodies, and sing and dictate melodies featuring some chromaticism.
  2. Perform assigned vocal technical exercises and repertoire with appropriate technique and musicality, and perform with ensembles in a public setting
  3. Demonstrate basic commercial piano techniques.
  4. Use computers to produce electronic music and prepare music scores.
  5. Complete writing assignments on the music industry and about professional concerts at an intermediate level of English.

Level I Certificate:

  1. Recognize, write, identify aurally, and perform basic music notation.
  2. Perform assigned level one vocal and piano technical exercises and repertoire.
  3. Create a publisher-quality computer generated score.
  4. Perform with an ensemble in a public setting.
  5. Listen to live music and describe the styles and time period of the music heard, the names of the instruments, and their timbres.

Level II Certificate:

  1. Write chords, harmonize melodies, and sing and dictate melodies featuring simple chromaticism.
  2. Perform assigned level two vocal and piano technical exercises and repertoire.
  3. Perform with a vocal ensemble in a public setting.
  4. Produce and record an original electronic music composition.
  5. Listen to live music, contextualize the style(s) and time period of the music heard, and accurately describe the performing forces.

Level III Certificate:

  1. Write chords, harmonize melodies, and sing and dictate melodies featuring more advanced chromaticism.
  2. Perform assigned level three vocal and piano technical exercises and repertoire.
  3. Perform on a brass instrument with an ensemble in a public setting.
