Dr. Dan Wanner received his Master’s and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees from Columbia University. Following the completion of his studies, he worked in New York City as a music editor and teacher. 

Dr. Wanner has written on music, film, and art for such publications as Stagebill and Current Musicology. His orchestral and chamber compositions have been performed throughout the northeast and in his hometown of Miami, Florida. 

He moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and since then has divided his time between composing the scores for numerous independent films, giving private piano lessons, and teaching at Los Angeles City College and Mount Saint Mary’s College
