Mission Statement:
The mission of the Nursing Department is to educate students for entry level registered nursing positions in a variety of multicultural health care settings within the community.
   
Degree:  Registered Nursing AS – Plan B
Degree Description:
The Associate Degree Registered Nursing Program is a 2-year full-time program. Students learn the art and science of nursing and apply theoretical concepts and skills in a variety of clinical settings.  Students participate in clinical experiences to provide holistic nursing care and treatment for diverse populations with a variety of health care needs. Upon completion of ADRN program, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination.
Degree Learning Outcomes
The student will:
1. Utilize the nursing process as a basis for decisions in the planning and implementation for nursing care across the lifespan to a diverse population.
2. Exercise critical thinking and effective communication skills to make decisions and take actions consistent with the standards of nursing practice. 
3. Perform duties according to the ANA standards of professional practice. 
4. Pass the NCLEX RN Licensing exam on the first attempt.
