GE 131: Statics

If you are considering a career in Civil or Mechanical engineering then this course will form the foundation of your understanding of structures. The course covers vector mechanics of forces in space, moments and couples, distributed forces, analysis of trusses, beams, and calculation of moment of inertia.

Prerequisites: Physics 101

Co-requisite: Mathematics 262 or equivalent
