Some of the courses have downloadable videos of actual lectures. MiKTeXLaTeX is free software for the professional layout of scientific documents that is used widely in universities. The link above is for a version that will run under the Windows operating system. It makes it easier to produce documents containing a lot of mathematical equations. There is a bit of a learning curve but it is worth it if you are considering entering a career in research. There is also an editor called LEd available that makes it a lot easier to produce documents using LaTeX.
