GE 241: Strength of Materials Topics covered are stress and strain, axial loading, torsion, flexural stresses, transverse shear stresses, horizontal shear stresses and stress transformations. Mohr’s Circle, pressure vessels, shear and bending moment diagrams, stresses in bear, methods of superposition, elastic strain energy are also studied.
