GRADING POLICY

• Students must take all three midterms, then the lowest midterm grade will be dropped
• To obtain a grade student must take the final exam
• Other factors that will affect the final grade:
• attendance
• homework
• civility and respect
• mutual intellectual tolerance
• intellectual objectivity

• Grading will be done based on the scale below:

FOR THE STUDENT TO GET A/AN

“A” grade in the course	The student must obtain a “A” in the final exam
“B” grade in the course	The student must obtain a “B” in the final exam
“C” grade in the course	The student must obtain a “C” in the final exam
“D” grade in the course	The student must obtain a “D” in the final exam

• The student is responsible to drop the class on time
• All exams are multiple choice. Essay exams may also be given.

ATTENDANCE POLICY-

As to unexcused absences, any of the following will result in the student being excluded from class

Twice the number of the unexcused absences in relation to the number of weekly meetings will result in the student being excluded from class

Once a date has been set up for an exam, no make-up will be allowed, unless the professor has been notified ahead of time due to a valid reason and with proper documentation. Three tardies will count as an absence.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR

Welcome to Ecomonics, no troublemakers will be tolerated in class.
Professor Auza has the option to suspend any student on these grounds.
No cheating will be tolerated.
The approach is friendly but firm.

My job is to motivate you intellectually and to prepare you for future ecomomics and business courses. I hope that you will enjoy this course and that you will be able to apply these economic principles and analytical skills to help you succeed in your career. Enjoy the course.
