The Professional Actor Training Program provides intensive training in all skills and techniques an actor needs.

The Theatre Academy Actor Training Program in Hollywood requires an extraordinary dedication and respect for the art and craft of acting. This intense curriculum demands self-discipline, organization and a determination to challenge one's own limits. Only students who are willing and capable to take on this challenge are encouraged to apply.

Why should I choose the Theatre Academy?

  • COST - If you transfer to a university, you can complete all your undergraduate general education requirements at a MUCH lower cost WHILE starting your professional training.

  • ATTENTION - Academy classes are restricted to those who have auditioned, been accepted, and committed to the program. Departmental classes may fulfill requirements, but will also include students who have no background or intent to stay in theatre.

  • CHALLENGE - This is a boot camp for theatre professionals. You will be stretched and stressed and challenged far beyond what you ever thought yourself capable.

  • LOCATION - We are in the heart of Hollywood;  the local resources and possibilities available in theatre, film, television and entertainment venues are almost endless.

  • BE INFORMED  - CHECK US OUT - visit, see a production, talk with the students and professors.

  • Listen to what graduates, current students and professors have to say about the Academy experience:

The application process includes an on-site audition with members of the faculty.

     How should you prepare?

See FAQs page and Audition info page

Acting students completing the training program are prepared to enter the field a step above many professional actors in the industry today. Audition and cold reading techniques,  resume preparation and career marketing are only a few of the skills provided that will better equip the Academy graduate to work in the highly competitive fields of theatre, film, and television.

Graduates are also encouraged to pursue further training at a four-year university or college where, with additional training, they may be eligible for a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Theatre.
