The Lady Cubs came off two crucial wins the week before against LA Trade Tech and East Los Angeles but lost their momentum last week against top-20 teams El Camino College and Mt. San Antonio College.

No. 3 ranked El Camino visited The Gym last Wednesday and captured three games in a match sweep of the Lady Cubs. Despite dropping three games, LA City was competitive and, in fact, led 11-9 in Game Three before surrendering the match.

LA City traveled to Mt. San Antonio College the following Friday for a match against the No. 18 ranked Lady Mounties but fell in three games, 11-30, 17-30, and 23-30.

This week’s single match at home against Cerritos College is a must win contest if the Lady Cubs are to have any chance at a post-season berth. Due to the men’s Basketball season opener, the volleyball game will begin at 3:00 pm.
