HOW TO START A
HOME-BASED MEDICAL BILLING SERVICE
Small home-based
medical businesses earn $75,000 to $150,000 per year! Physicians must file
claims electronically if they expect to be paid by Medicare. Most medical
practices receive more than 80% of their income from insurance companies; the
rest is derived from patient billing. So billing/consulting services are big
business. You'll learn: Marketing Strategies; how to get paid for your
services; patient information sheet/charge tickets; how to obtain hardware and
software; Introduction to insurance verification; how to obtain a license and
write a business plan. Material fee of $5 to be paid to instructor at
beginning of class.
