FRUIT & VEGETABLE CARVING

Let’s learn the fascinating art of Vegetable & Fruit Carving. Anyone can learn this delicate beautiful art form with just a little bit of practice. Come and learn decorative carving techniques that will allow you to create dazzling center pieces & elegant garnishes for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays & special occasions. Please bring bowl and cutting knife. Material fee of $3 to be paid to instructor at beginning of class. Material list will be given/mailed to students upon registration. Class limited to only 10 students.

CAKE DECORATING

A basic step by step instruction to fundamental cake decorating. This course is designed exclusively for the first time decorator. Course outline covers the basic skills of color mixing, borders, tool description, basic rose, simple floral arrangement and figure piping. A good course for the career oriented or hobbyist. Students must attend all 4 meetings to get all cake decorating techniques described above - there will be no class make-up. Material fee of $25 to be paid to instructor on 1st meeting of class. (This class is now held at 3020 Wilshire Bl.)

SUSHI MAKING

Delicious and nutritious sushi is deceptively easy to create in any kitchen. Learn how to select tasty ingredients, roll and garnish sushi. Participants should provide 2 bowls (soup size bowls), hand towel, cutting knife (non-serrated), and a small cutting board. Material fee of $20 to be paid to instructor at beginning of class covers all materials and sushi.

DIPPED & MOLDED CHOCOLATES

Learn to create delicious and beautiful chocolate candies for every occasion. Chocolate dipped strawberries and pretzels, almond bark, nut cups, and molded chocolates in every shape are easy, fast, and fun to make. We will make a variety of candies in class, which you will take home to share with family and friends. We’ll also discuss where to purchase supplies and provide tips on packaging and storing the candies. The materials fee includes two molds to take home plus chocolate. Great for holidays, birthdays, weddings, showers and other special occasions. Material fee of $12 to be paid to instructor at beginning of class. Students must be on time in order to get all Chocolate techniques described, there will be no class make-up. Class limited to only 15 students.
