Faxes

    Receiving Faxes
  • The LACC Fax number is (323) 953-4013.
  • Make sure to ask the sender to clearly put your full name, extension and department on the fax.
  • Any faxes received for you will be forwarded as a PDF attachment to your LACC email.
    The subject will start with "Fax Received ..."

 

    Sending Hardcopies as Faxes
    To send a fax using a hardcopy (printed or handwritten page), you will need to scan it to turn it into a computer document (PDF).  Then, follow the procedure below.

 

    Sending Computer Documents as Faxes
    Faxes are sent using the LACC email system. Attach the document to be faxed to an Mail Message.

  • Enter the recipient's fax number in the format below in the To field.
    Format:
    [FAX: Person Name@9999999]   OR   [FAX: Person Name@9999999999]
    Notice that 9 or 1 before the area code is not necessary.

    Example for local faxes:
    [FAX: Jane Doe@5554000]
    Notice that the brackets need to be included.

    Example for long distance faxes:
    [FAX: Jane Doe@8885554000]
    Notice that the brackets need to be included.

  • If you need to include company information on the fax, enter the recipient's fax number and company name in the format below in the To field.
    Format:
    [FAX:/first=First Name/last=Last Name/company=Company Name@9999999]

    Example for local faxes:
    [FAX:/first=Jane/last=Doe/company=XYZ, Inc.@5554000]

    Example for long distance faxes:
    [FAX:/first=Jane/last=Doe/company=XYZ, Inc.@8885554000]
