Computer Keyboarding 1 Online is a full-semester, 3-unit course delivered online via the Internet, email, and special course software. You and your instructor will communicate via the Internet, e-mail, general class announcements, and private document annotations. If you have never typed before, if you have not learned the keyboard by touch, or if you need to relearn the keyboard, you should enroll in Keyboarding 1. You will learn to type by touch and will also learn the basic features of Microsoft Word in order to produce mailable documents such as letters, tables, reports, and memos. Your minimum speed at end of course should be 30 w.p.m. with accuracy. Mandatory testing sessions will take place at LA City College (unless you have otherwise made arrangements with the instructor) about three times during the semester.
You must email Professor Zimmerly to begin computer Keyboarding 1 Online.
