SSSP Summit August 27, Faculty/Staff Ctr.

The purpose of Student Success and Support Program (3SP) Summit at LACC is to provide students with timely & accurate information and help them reach their academic and vocational goals. We are committed to ensure that all students successfully complete their courses, persist to the next academic term, and achieve their educational objectives. The summit on August 27th is for FACULTY AND STAFF and will go over LACC’s plan and explain how we are going to help our students reach their goals. In addition, we will discuss how our students are impacted by the changes in Senate Bill 1456 and what your role in your position at LACC is in helping students succeed and complete their educational goals (associate degree, transfer, certificate, personal development).

All of us must be involved in this new and revised process to reach out to our new and continuing students. Although Orientation, Assessment, Student Educational Planning, and Follow-up play a major role in this process, the real impact on our students will be from all of us working together to ensure that our students have access to information, services, instruction, and continuation of support needed to complete their programs of study and degrees.

Please save the date and plan on attending either Workshop A or Workshop B (plan to attend either one…prizes for participation!) in the Faculty Staff Center. WORKSHOP A (9:00 - 12:00), LUNCH Provided (12:00 - 1:00), WORKSHOP B (1:00 - 4:00).
