Congratulations to the Theatre Academyís production of Antonís Uncles

LACC Theatre Academy production of Anton's Uncles has been invited to perform at this yearís Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Washington D.C., Thursday April 15, 2010 in the Family Theater. Over 1000 participating college productions were considered from across the nation and only three shows were invited to perform at this year's national festival.  The Festival was founded on the principal of showcasing exemplary work done throughout the nation at the college and university level. LACC has a long history of recognition from the festival having participated at the first national festival in 1969, performing Congreveís The Way of the World at the prestigious Ford theatre.

Over the past four decades, more than 20 Theatre academy productions have been recognized as well as the work of scores of students at either the regional or national level by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.  The Theatre Academy of Los Angeles City College is celebrating its 81st year of providing quality conservatory training in acting, technical theatre and costuming.
