Distance Education Information
LA City College's distance education courses provide students the ability to take classes at times and locations convenient to them.
Distance education is a way of for students who work, and/or have family obligations to gain college credits without coming to campus for classes. The courses are open to all independent, self directed and motivated students.
Distance Education Courses may include web enhanced, in which course materials and/or homework is access online; hybrid, where any portion of the instructional classroom time is replaced with online activities; and online, in which the course materials, discussions, assessments, and other course related activities are conducted outside the classroom environment using Internet based technology.

ITV / The Weekend CollegeInstructional Television (ITV) courses are transferable community college courses that combine instructional video with an interactive course website and weekend class meetings. The classes are specifically designed for working adults and busy students. Classes are convenient and provide the flexibility working adults require. |
