The following is a list of important financial aid dates to know at Los Angeles City College:
| January 1 | The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year becomes available | |
| March 2 |
Applicants must file their FAFSA and GPA form by this date to be considered for Cal Grant (state grant) eligibility | |
| May 1 |
Priority date for the upcoming academic year - applicants who submit the required documents to the Financial Aid Office for processing by this date will most likely receive their aid at the beginning of the Fall semester Last day to submit all the required financial aid documentations to the Financial Aid Office for processing of 2007-2008 awards for Spring 2008. (Note: Students who plan to attend in Summer 2008 have until the last day of their summer term to submit all required financial aid documentations.) |

The Financial Aid Office must have received the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) from the Department of Education with an official Expected Family Contribution calculated by the Central Processing for students whose final semester of attendance is Spring 2008. | |

Last day to file a 2007-2008 Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) | |
| July 14 |
For students whose final semester of attendance is Summer Session 1 (June 11–July 14): The Financial Aid Office must receive an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) with an official Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated by the Department of Education’s Central Processing System and all required institutional documents for the 2007-2008 academic year | |

For students whose final semester of attendance is Summer Session 2 (June 11–August 4th): The Financial Aid Office must receive an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) with an official Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated by the Department of Education’s Central Processing System and all required institutional documents for the 2007-2008 academic year | |

For students whose final semester of attendance is Summer Session 3 (July 16–August 18): The Financial Aid Office must receive an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) with an official Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated by the Department of Education’s Central Processing System and all required institutional documents for the 2007-2008 academic year | |

Second chance deadline date for students who plan to attend Los Angeles City College in Fall 2008 to apply for a limited number of Cal Grant Competitive Awards (state grant) | |

Corrections on a paper Student Aid Report (SAR) and Corrections on the Web or FAA Access to CPS Online must be received by this date for the 2007-2008 award year | |

Students selected for verification must submit all required verification documents and a valid output document (ISIR/SAR) to the Financial Aid Office by this date | |
