Grades and Transcripts

 

HOW TO VIEW YOUR GRADES & UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS 
If you attended City College AFTER 1974, you may view and print your grades and unofficial transcript online at:  

https://services.laccd.edu/districtsite/sis_logon.asp

Students may view grades through the Student Information System as soon as they are entered by instructors.  All students are responsible for viewing their grades online to ensure the proper grade has been posted. If you last attended City College more than five years ago, your transcript may need to be brought out of archived files before you can access it online. Please call Admissions & Records if you have difficulty viewing your transcript online.  If you owe any fees or have other holds, the system will not allow you to view and/or print your transcript.  
 
STEPS ON HOW TO VIEW YOUR GRADES & TRANSCRIPT ONLINE 
1. Log on to the Student Information System 
2. Select Transcripts from the left bar menu
3. Select the college from the dropdown menu
4. Click on the submit button


 
HOW TO ORDER OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS ONLINE, BY MAIL, OR IN PERSON 
An official transcript is a record of all the courses you completed at City College and the grades you earned along with your degrees and academic honors. Only coursework completed at LACC will be included in the transcript requested. TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS CANNOT BE SUBMITTED BY FAX, EMAIL, OR BY PHONE.  
 
ENROLLMENT FEE HOLDS: Requests for transcripts will NOT be accepted until ALL financial obligations with the Los Angeles Community College District are paid including fees for the current semester.  
 
TRANSCRIPT FEE: Regular transcripts are $3 each and require 5 to 10 working days for your transcript to be processed from the day your request is received in our office. Rush transcripts are an additional $7 for a total of $10 per transcript. With rush service, if you request your transcript in person, you will receive your transcript on the spot. If you mail in a request for rush service, your transcript will be mailed within two working days from the date the request is received in our office.   
  
HOW TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT ONLINE 
To request a transcript online, you are required to submit the transcript fee with a credit card. The National Student Clearinghouse charges a $2.25 convenience fee for processing an online order.  
  1. Log on to the Student Information System
  2. Select Main Menu from the left bar menu  
  3. In the Transcripts & Enrollment Verifications box, select LA City students
  4. Select Los Angeles City College from the drop down menu
  5. Click on the submit button  
  6. You are now on National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) website.  Once you are on the NSC website, read the information and select the "Order or Track a Transcript" option and carefully follow the instructions for ordering transcripts.

If you cannot log on to the Student Information System because you forgot your log on PIN or SID, because it has been a long time since you attended and your account is no longer active, or because it is between midnight and 7am and the Student Information System is not available, you may order online 24 hours per day 7 days per week directly through the NSC website.  

  1. Go to http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/
  2. On the home page, select Order or Track a Transcript from the Order-Track-Verify menu on the top right.
  3. Select Los Angeles City College from the drop down menu.
  4. Click on the Submit button
  5. You are now on National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) website.  Once you are on the NSC website, read the information and select the "Order or Track a Transcript" option and carefully follow the instructions for ordering transcripts.
HOW TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT BY MAIL 
To request your transcript by mail, download the form on our website here: Transcript Request Form
Alternatively, you may send a written request, with the following information--PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY. 
  • Name
  • Any other names (including spelling variations of your name/s)
  • Social Security Number and/or college assigned ID number
  • Date of Birth
  • Dates of Attendance (to the best of your knowledge)
  • Number of copies required
  • Address where transcripts are to be sent (Student is RESPONSIBLE for correct address)
  • Your signature (Your request will be returned if your signature is missing)
  • Your current address and phone number
  • Payment by personal check or money order made payable to "Los Angeles City College"

HOW TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT IN PERSON
You may request your transcript in person at the Admissions and Records Office, by filling out the Transcript Request Form. When requesting transcripts in person, you are required to present a valid picture ID. Once your request is cleared for processing, you will be sent to the Business Office to pay for your transcript by credit card, check, or cash.
