- Establish good study habits.
- Organize study materials.
- Read the course syllabus (outline) and keep it.
- Set up a good environment for studying.
- Complete your assignments on time.
- Study for tests ahead of time.
- If you start falling behind, get help early.
- Don’t assume financial aid will be available right away.
- Plan ahead. Adhere to instructor’s attendance policies.
- Come to class prepared-bring paper, pen, books, etc.
- Purchase your materials as soon as possible
- Take responsibility for your education.
- Turn in add/drop slips form on time and keep proof.
- Buy and use the College Catalog.
- Keep the Schedule of Classes until the end of the semester.
- Learn how to use a computer.
In classroom, always remember:
- Turn cell phones & pagers off.
- No eating or drinking in class.
- Be on time. (Budget time to get to class.)
- Expect to stay for the entire class.
- No smoking.
- Don’t bring your children to class with you.
- Use appropriate behavior in the classroom.
