OSS Eligibility

 

Los Angeles City College’s Office of Special Services (OSS) authorizes accommodations, academic adjustments and/or support services to students who have verified disabilities such as:

 

Acquired Brain Injury (TBI, CVA)

Attention Deficit Disorders

Blind or Low Vision

Deaf or Hard of Hearing 

Developmental Disabilities

Learning Disabilities

Mobility Disabilities

Psychological Disabilities

Speech-Language Disorders 

Other: PTSD, Health Issues, Epilepsy, etc. 

 

Students with disabilities who attend Los Angeles City College must make measurable progress toward their educational goals. 

 

New students with disabilities requesting services are required to complete an OSS new student application and a professional certification of disability signed by an appropriate professional. In addition, students must complete the OSS new student orientation.

 

Continuing students, if requesting services, must update their OSS application each semester in attendance. If you have not been an active student for more than a year, you will need to repeat the OSS new student orientation.
