The Prepaid Printing System allows students to print or photocopy without restrictions on the number of pages printed.
The charge per page will help LACC to offset operating costs.
The participating labs are: CSIT lab (AD321), Nursing lab (CAF 104), All College Computer lab (FH 201) and Library.
To print, you need to have money in your Printing Account.
LACC students get a Prepaid Printing Account after registering for classes.
Your Prepaid Printing Username is the same as your UIA username. Your Prepaid Printing Account number is the your student ID number located on the front of the LACC student ID. Your password is the same as in your UIA account.
Library users can also print or photocopy by paying at the printer or photocopy.
A. Adding Money to Your Account
You can add money to your account at most Prepaid Printing Computers. You can buy up to $20.00 of printing maximum.

Adding Money at the Prepaid Printing Computer
If the computer does not have a Bill Aceptor, you cannot use that computer to add money to your account.
- At the Main screen, click on Patron Kiosk.
- Click on View Account.
- Type your username or swipe your Student ID card.
- Enter your password and press Validate This Account.

- Click on Add Funds To This Account.
- Insert the money in the Bill Aceptor.
- The total money added will be displayed as you add it.

B. Printing At The Labs
Remember to save your work before printing. Your account will not be charged until your print job is released at the Prepaid Printing computer.

Windows printing
- Log on to the computer using your UIA username and password.
- Print all or any part of a document.
(You will not see a popup)
- Go to the Prepaid Printing Computer to release your job.
Macintosh printing
- Print all or any part of a document.
- After a couple of seconds, a popup window will open.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your password.
- Click Send to PRS (Print Release Station).
- Go to the Prepaid Printing Computer to release your job.

B. Printing At The Library
Remember to save your work before printing. Your account will not be charged until your print job is released at the Prepaid Printing computer.

- Notice the computer # you are using.
- Print all or any part of a document.
- Go to the Print Release Computer to release your job.

WARNING: Make sure not to have blank pages or typos because you will be charged for every page.
C. Releasing Your Job to the Printer
The Prepaid Printing computer is used to send your print jobs to the printer.
- The print jobs that are not released in one hour, they are deleted from the system. You will not be charge for them.
- You can release your print job at the Prepaid Printing computer in the location where you printed or in any other participating location as long as it has not been deleted from the system.
At the labs
- Click on the Print Release Station button
- Type your usename or swipe your student ID.
- Select the print job you want to release and click Print.
- Type your username or swipe your Student ID card. And type your password.
- Click Print.
- When you are done, click on Close Session.
At The Library
- Go to the Prepaid Printing Computer.
- Type the computer number you used.
- Select the print job you want to release and click Print.
- Highlight the black/White or Color printer and click Select Printer.
- Notice the Total Job Cost.
- Select the method to pay yor print job:
- Using coins or bills
Place money in the Payment Box and click Deposit Bill/Coin
- Using account
Type username, password and click Account
- When you are done, click on Close Session and collect your change.

WARNING: You are responsable for the charges, if you do not close the session and another person releases your print jobs.

D. The Prepaid Printing Computer
At the Prepaid Printing computer, you can:
Click on the Print Release Station button.
- Release your print jobs.
Click on the Patron Kiosk button
- View account: Add money to account, view print history or account balance.

E. Reversal of Charges
The reversal of charges are done when the printout quality is poor or no printout was produced after the print job was released. No cash refunds are available.
Reversal of charges procedure:
- Take all the damaged pages to the lab staff and explain the problem.
- The lab staff will write on those pages, your username, account number, number of pages, date and time of print job.
- The lab staff will keep all the pages to later do a revesal of charges.
