The new district-wide student email system is here!

Your new LACC email account will be your only connection to ALL campus and district communication including: Financial Aid award notifications, registration appointments, class change updates, ASG announcements, campus news and emergency plans.

The changeover is happening now and will be in full effect starting with the Spring 2013 semester.

What  does this mean to me as a student?

LACC is phasing out its old email system (username@email2.lacitycollege.edu), and introducing the new district-wide student email system powered by Microsoft Live@EDU (username@student.laccd.edu). This means all communication with the district and the college will use this new email account. Information will no longer go to any old email address, ONLY the district-issued address. You can find your NEW email address by entering the SIS system.

Log in to your student email account at https://student.laccd.edu/sso/

·         Your student ID is your username

·         Your Password is your birth month and day (e.g. February 26 = 0226)

OR

You can also access it by logging into the Student Portal and clicking on the email address next to “Assigned Student E-Mail Address”.

You can find your exact email address in the Student Information System.

Alternate Direct Access to Student Email: Go to Outlook.com directly. Enter your email address as your account and add “88” in front of your PIN (e.g. If your pin 1234, you would type 881234).

Continue to user the college network account  (First 2 letters of your first name+First 2 letters of your last name+Last 5 digits of your student ID) to access all resources on campus (Lab Computers, Wireless Network, STARS, etc.)

Lab Computers:
        * In the computer labs, you will have to log in using your old username and password. 
        * After using a computer, remember to log off--you are responsible for anything done using your username.
        * For problems logging in, ask for assistance from the lab staff at any of the labs that use UIA accounts.

Wireless Connection:
        * Wireless connection is available in many buildings and open areas of the college. Wireless Coverage Map. 
        * First, connect to the "LACC WIRELESS" wireless network.
          (Make sure that your wireless card is enabled. Many laptops have a button around the keyboard to enable/disable
          wireless connections. Check your laptop manual for more details)
        * Then, when trying to reach a site, other than the LACC site, you will get a Logon page.
        * When you get the logon page, enter your old username and password.

STARS: Student Tracking and Reporting System:
If you are enrolled in a computer lab or the Fitness Center, you can log in to STARS to see how many hours you have accomplished.

OLD EMAIL SYSTEM:  Please note that the old email system (username@email2.lacitycollege.edu) has been discontinued as of Spring 2013.
