Program’s Mission Statement: The Student Support Services (SSS) program’s mission is to assist low-income, first generation, and/or disabled students by providing opportunities for academic advisement, mentoring, assistance with basic college requirements, and motivating students to complete their postsecondary education.
Program’s Description: The Student Support Services (SSS) program provides services that assist students to obtain Associate’s Degrees and transfer to four-year institutions. The services include tutoring, workshops, cultural activities, computer lab access, laptop/calculator loans, university field-trips, grant aid awards, academic and personal counseling, and assistance with transfer and financial aid applications.
Program’s Learning Outcomes The student will:
- Be able to identify and outline AA degree and transfer requirements associated with their educational plan.
- Demonstrate increase knowledge and understanding of transfer processes by participating in workshops and field trips to Universities.
- Demonstrate progress toward degree completion.
- Develop academic and personal skills through program resources and activities.
