Rules for using
this lab
TRIO members need to sign in & out
Students need to type in password to login
onto the network
Students are not allowed to install programs
on any workstation
Students are not allowed to have food or drink
near the workstations
Students are limited to amount of copies
printed out on the networked printer
Any questions about use of software is
answered by Program Specialist or qualified
TRIO staff
TRIO students
are always encouraged to utilize the services
provided in CH 116. In addition to the
computer lab, students may take advantage of
utilizing our college catalogs/brochures in
our library. The table area is for student
use where they can read, do homework or simply
enjoy some quiet time.
Noise level
should be kept to a minimum at all times.
Unless authorized, students are not allowed to
use the telephone.
Student code of
conduct will be prescribed as that in the Fall
2003 Schedule of Classes (see page 127-128):
“A student
enrolling in one of the Los Angeles
Community Colleges may rightfully expect
that the faculty and administrators will
maintain an environment in which there is
freedom to learn. This requires that there
be appropriate conditions and opportunities
in the classroom and on the campus. As
members of the College community, students
should be encouraged to develop the capacity
for critical judgment; to engage in
sustained and independent search for truth,
and to exercise their rights to free inquiry
and free speech in a responsible, nonviolent
manner.
Students shall respect and obey civil
and criminal law, and shall be subject to
legal penalties for violation of laws of the
City, County, State and Nation. Student
conduct in all of the Los Angeles Community
Colleges must conform to District and
College rules and regulations. Violations
of such rules and regulations, for which
students are subject to disciplinary action,
include, but are not limited to…willful
disobedience, violation of college rules &
regulations, dishonesty, unauthorized entry,
college documents, disruption of classes,
theft or damage to property, interference
with Peace of college, assault or battery,
alcohol and drugs, lethal weapons,
discriminatory behavior, unlawful assembly,
conspiring to perform illegal acts,
threatening behavior, disorderly conduct,
theft or abuse of computer resources,
interference with classes, interference with
performance of duties by employees, assault
or abuse of instructor.”
