Academic and Personal counseling...
Student Support Services provides academic and individual education
plans to students geared towards a four-year
university transfer. Personal counseling
is available to students who wish to discuss
concerns that are not school related. |

Tutoring |
|
Individualized tutoring and group services are
available in various disciplines. The TRIO
office provides in house tutoring for Math on an
appointment basis. Tutoring for other
disciplines if available will be referred to the
Learning Skills Center in the Library basement. |

Educational Workshops |
|
|
Student Support Services offers workshops to
either improve study skills, clarify academic
issues or in personal development.
Workshops are scheduled throughout the semester
and given by staff. SSS has also developed
a small group learning day among members themed
"Lunch'n Learn". Various days in the
semester, SSS members come together and speak on
any topic of interest that will develop learning
interaction. |

Computer
Access |
| Student Support Services has its
own computer lab to help students gain or
improve essential skills in areas such as
computer/word processing and developing research
skills. Internet & email access also
available to use accordingly with various online
courses offered at City college. Also, SSS
has developed a Laptop Loan program that allows
a member of SSS to check out a laptop for a
period of three days to do homework or research. |

Free Culture Events & Field Trips |
| The program schedules four to
six cultural activities or field trips each year
to four-year colleges, museums, theatre,
Broadway performances and other areas of
interest. SSS covers the cost of
transportation and lunch for all students who
attend. For further information on upcoming
