WORKSHOP
DESCRIPTION |

Appeal Workshop
This workshop will address students who are
academically disqualified from receiving financial aid. Topics covered
include the satisfactory academic progress standards and the process of
appealing for reinstatement. The presenter will discuss the appeals
process and what a student should include in their appeal to improve
their chances of getting your financial aid reinstated. Students who
have been academically disqualified from receiving financial aid are
encouraged to attend this workshop. The workshops are approximately one
hour or less. |

Cash for College Day
Financial Aid experts are available on campus to
assist anyone who needs assistance in completing the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition, computers will be
available on-site for applicants to file their form online. |

Financial Aid Forum
Do you feel that
the financial aid services on-campus is inadequate? Would you like to
share your ideas on how the Financial Aid Office can better serve
students? Or do you simply have a need to vent out your frustration
over the financial aid process? Come and join Jeremy Villar, Associate
Dean in a discussion of financial aid issues on campus. |

Money Management
101
Are you having
difficulty keeping up with your bills and finances? In this session,
you will learn what you can do to effectively maintain your finances and
avoid being in financial difficulty. |
|
Orientation
The presenter at the orientation workshop will
explain when to expect check disbursements, what is required of
financial aid recipients, how to keep getting aid, what is satisfactory
academic progress, how adding and dropping a class may affect aid,
income reductions, and more. All financial aid recipients are
encouraged to attend this workshop. |

Scholarships 101
Learn about
scholarship opportunities including searching for scholarships on-line
and tips on how to effectively complete a scholarship application. |

You Can Afford College
A one-hour financial aid workshop designed to
explain the process of applying for financial aid, the types of programs
available, and useful tips. |
