The Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy welcomes you to our first blog post!

Hello and welcome to the first official post from the Theatre Academy Blog!

Theatre is a collaborative effort on all parts with actors, directors, tech designers, and costume designers so I will not be taking all the credit for this blog because as a community, we all provide. From this blog you can expect Q&A's with actors and directors, costume design processes, and much much more! Hopefully it will give you an idea of the huge program in the smallest and one of the oldest buildings on campus. And fun fact: The Theatre Academy Conservatory at LACC is the second oldest in the United States behind Carnegie Mellon! That means it's older than NYU, Juilliard, and many of the other drama programs around the United States. This blog will incorporate ALL aspects of theatre including  acting, directing, tech, and costumes. It will also explain some theatre terms and debunk the theory that there is nothing to learn at Art School. Can't wait for this new journey!
