Congratulations LACC Class of 2020 from Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin

Hello I'm Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin and I’m honored to offer you congratulations.

The great LA City College graduating class of 2020.

Every graduation is memorable, but you have the likely distinction of the most memorable in the history of LACC and you and your class will be distinguished for your resilience, flexibility, adaptability, focus, and strength. Qualities that will serve you well and will serve our world well as you go forth into the future. And while you may be experiencing some uncertainty graduating amidst the Covid-19 pandemic a great future awaits.

Our lives as individuals and as a community will inevitably be marked by challenging chapters, but you now have the strong foundation to meet these challenges and to emerge ever stronger, empathetic, giving, and wiser. You have done yourselves, your families, your school, and your city proud. I can't wait for all the future holds for you, congratulations!

Congratulations to the Class of 2020 from LACC Faculty & Staff

Hello everybody, this is Patricio Maya Solis from the English department first of all i want to say congratulations for making it through to the end of your time here at LACC and I want you to think about the fact that you can take the very difficult lessons that you have learned during the CO-VID 19 crisis and turn them around and use them as a source of strength because if you've made it through this you can make it through so many other situations. So congratulations and keep it up!

Congratulations on your accomplishment.

I hope your time here has given you the tools you need to succeed in your future endeavors. As well as a deeper sense of the things that you value. May you remain faithful to those values when things are going smoothly, and when challenges arise. Congratulations again!

Hello class of 2020. I want to congratulate you on your big achievement. You are strong, you have faced a tremendous adversity during this pandemic and you deserve to be happy during your day of your graduation I wish you nothing but the best.

Hey 2020! Laurel Paley here from Visual & Media Arts. and I'm not very good at being brief but I only have 30 seconds, so here's what i want to say to you guys... Get out there and be awesome! We know you are. Do it for the world. (smooch!) Love you!

Congratulations graduates of 2020. I'm Joni Varner, I'm a Cinema/TV Professor here at Los Angeles City College. In the movie industry we use a technique called pre-visualization

"Previz" allows a filmmaker to use storyboards and animations to imagine what a movie will look like before it's even photographed. You've been able to do the same thing as graduates of LACC. You had to pre-visualize yourself being a college student, enrolling in classes, completing assignments ,getting academic counseling, and graduating today. Congratulations graduates. Pre-visualize your future.

Congratulations to the class of 2020, your hard work dedication and sacrifices have finally

paid off and you've made it to the finish line. Everyone here at outreach and recruitment is so incredibly proud of you and we wish you nothing but continued success.

Congratulations class of 2020!

Hey Los Angeles City College Graduates! Jim Lancaster, your Vice President of academic affairs. Just wanted to don the tam here real quick and say congratulations to each of you. People sometimes ask what's with the whole Mickey Mouse thing, and I wear it at graduation to remind myself and anybody else who I shake hands with, that as Walt Disney once said, it all started with just a mouse. So, Believe, Achieve. Succeed. Congratulations.

To the music students and the whole graduating class of 2020, congratulations!

We're so grateful that you chose LACC as your home and we wish you the best in all your future endeavors again, congratulations!

Pamela Shivan once said, "The central question of a warrior's training is not how we avoid uncertainty and fear, but how we relate to discomfort." As this year continues to be filled with

Congratulations Class of 2020. As you answered our last question on your final exam at City, remember the words of Raina Maria Rilker, "Do not seek the answers which cannot be

given to you because you can't live them." And the point is, is to live everything live the questions now, and someday when you least expect it you'll find your way to the answer. With that, best of luck, your brilliance will guide you, and you ever get lost, just ask questions.

LACC graduates we're so proud of all you've accomplished with us. And we're excited to hear about all your future endeavors. Please keep us updated on all the things we can brag about about you in the future. Best of luck!
