News and Events for the week of November 29

Good Monday Morning,

I hope everyone had a restful four days off. Now we have only a few weeks until our winter break. I will be sending my annual email to you this week about the upcoming holidays over the winter break.

Town Hall on Facilities & Budget

On Tuesday, November 30, I will be presenting our once-a-semester Town Hall on Facilities & Budget at 1:00pm. It will be onsite in the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd floor of the Student Union. We will have light snacks. Or you can access it via Zoom link:

Giving Tuesday

Also Giving Tuesday is tomorrow Tuesday, November 30 this year. The Foundation has been providing ongoing assistance to students throughout the pandemic. Please consider joining me on Giving Tuesday (November 30) to make that extra special contribution this holiday season. Here is the link:

Employee TB Testing

Many of you received an email, as well as a letter in the mail, from LACCD Human Resources that you need to be cleared regarding TB. The District has sent out forms and instructions to those that need to take a TB Risk Assessment. The assessment can be done completely online, fill out the form and email it to

The District is also providing options for those who cannot fill out the assessment online. Employees can come to campus today, Monday, November 29 and obtain a hard copy form from the Student Union Coffee Shop and fill it out, get additional testing through onsite mobile units if needed, and submit it for approval. Mobile units will be available today from 7am to 2pm

Campus Check-In Process

We continue with our formal check-in process for all employees who come to campus. Employees need their Cleared4 pass for check-in. There are two entrances that you can check in through each day – one between the Student Services Building and Holmes Hall and the other between the Sci/Tech Building and Franklin Hall. Students are also required to check-in. If students have not “cleared” through the Cleared4 system, they are still allowed to enter campus until the end of the term. As students register for Winter 2022 and Spring 2022, if they are not cleared through the Cleared4 system, they will not be able to register for on-site or hybrid classes in the winter and spring terms.

2022 Winter Schedule

The Winter Schedule is up on the website. You can view our Winter open classes at:  Please share this with your students. For continuing students, registration begins today for Spring classes.
