LACC’s Rad Tech Program ranks consistently as one of the top five radiography programs in the United States.
LACC’s Dental Technology students hold the top rank in the U.S. with a pass rate of 100% for the Recognized Graduate Exam, administrated by the National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory, inc.
In 2016, the Herb Alpert Foundation donated $10.1 million to LACC’s Music Department, the largest gift ever given to a community college in Southern California. The gift creates an endowment allowing all LACC music majors tuition-free attendance, private lessons and additional financial resources.

LACC’s newspaper, The Collegian, has been awarded 2 David L. Adams Apple Awards for Best 2-Year School Newspaper in 2016 and 2017.
