Academic Transcripts

Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) offers a district-wide transcript for all nine (9) colleges (East, City, Harbor, Mission, Pierce, Southwest, Trade, Valley and West) . An official transcript includes a record of all credit and non-credit courses you completed within LACCD from 1974 to present, including earned grades, certificates, degrees and academic honors.

Before ordering an official transcript, we recommend that you view your grades to ensure the accurcy of the information on your transcript.

Please note: Transcript request processing time is 10 business days. 


Request a Transcript Online (Preferred Method)

To request a transcript online, you must pay the transcript fee using a credit or debit card. As of December 1, 2020, LACCD will use Parchment transcript ordering service. The Parchment transcript ordering service charges a $2.75 convenience fee to process an online order. Transcript processing time is 10 business days. 

To order transcript through Parchment website: 
  1. Visit the Parchment website. 
  2. If you have never used Parchment ordering service before, click on New Learner Account. 
  3. If you have used Parchment ordering service before, click on the Existing User Account. 
  4. If you are a third party ordering on behalf of the student, click on New Third Party Account. 
  5. Read the information and carefully follow the instructions for ordering transcripts

Hello and welcome in this video I will show you how to order high school and college transcripts but first I want to give you an overview of how this simple process works here's how it goes your school hangs onto your official transcript for safekeeping now let's say you need to send your transcript to a college you're applying to or your employer that's where we come in when you place your order tell us where you want your transcript from and where you want your transcript to be delivered and we'll get it there the first step is to create a parchment account your school will appear on your dashboard and click order to place your order now tell us where you want to send your transcript do you want to send it to a college or academic institution you're applying to yourself or another individual like an employer to send to an academic institution enter the name of the school in the search bar and click search if the name doesn't appear in the list click enter your own and enter an email address or physical address of the recipient if the receiving school is listed click on it to select it you will land on the item details confirm the order details are correct select whether you would like to send now or click the drop down if you want to hold for grades to be posted scroll down to provide consent when you want to send your transcript somewhere you must provide your school consent sign with your mouse or finger and enter your name and then check the box provided click continue instead if you see a screen that says no consent required you can skip this step this means your school already has consent on file you will land on the order summary if you want to add another item to your order from the school select add another item click complete order to place your order or if there's a fee listed click continue and enter your payment details and then click complete order that's it you're done it's important to remember that your school must process your order before we can send it to the destination you can track your order at any time by signing into your account and clicking the order tab at the top to access our help center and reach learner support click contact us thanks for watching

To order transcript through student portal: 
  1. Log on to the student portal.
  2. Click on "Academic Records"
  3. Click on "Official Transcript Requests"
  4. You are now on the Parchment transcript ordering website.
    • If you have never used Parchment ordering service before, click on New Learner Account. 
    • If you have used Parchment ordering service before, click on the Existing User Account. 
    • If you are a third party ordering on behalf of the student, click on New Third Party Account. 
  5. Read the information and carefully follow the instructions for ordering transcripts.

Request a Transcript by Mail

To request your transcript by mail, download the Transcript Request Form.
Alternatively, you may send a written request, with the following information (print clearly):

  1. Name
  2. Any other names (including spelling variations of your name/s)
  3. Social Security Number and/or college assigned ID number
  4. Mail all transcript requests to:
    Admissions & Records - Transcript Requests
    Los Angeles City College
    855 N. Vermont Ave
    Los Angeles, CA 90029
  5. Date of Birth
  6. Dates of Attendance (to the best of your knowledge)
  7. Number of copies required
  8. Address where transcripts are to be sent (Student is responsible for the correct address.)
  9. Your signature (Your request will be returned if your signature is missing.)
  10. Your current address and phone number

Payment by personal check or money order made payable to "Los Angeles City College"

NOTE: TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS CANNOT BE SUBMITTED BY PHONE AT THIS TIME


Transcript Fees

Each student is entiltled to two (2) academic transcripts without charge. To order the free transcript, fill out the Transcript Request Form and send it to Admissions Office by email to admissions@lacitycollege.edu or by mail to Transcript Unit, 855 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029. 

Regular transcript cost $3 each and require 10 working days of processing time from the day your request is received by Admissions and Records.

Rush transcript cost an additional $7 or $10 per transcript. For rush service requests, the transcript will be sent within two (2) working days from the day your request is received by Admissions and Records.
