Biographical Statement:
Amy Sweetman received her B.A. at the University of South Florida and her M.A. at CSULA with specialization in the area of Biological Psychology. She has been teaching General Psychology, Group Dynamics, Psychology of Sexuality and Computers for Human Service Majors since the early 1990’s.
As a faculty member at Los Angeles City College, she has been involved in many different projects such as helping to develop the New Faculty Academy, the Emeriti lecture series and the Book Program. She created the Los Angeles Brain Bee which is a High School competition on Neuroscience that supports a partnership with both UCLA and USC. She has been involved in numerous teaching seminars that have been presented throughout the Los Angeles area. Additionally, in 2007 she created the faculty resource Intropsychresources.com that is used by professors throughout the nation.
