Student Education Plans for First Year Experience (FYE)
You are about to graduate from high school and are considering Los Angeles City College. So, what is next for you?
After working with your LACC representative over the school year to make sure you get help with your application and orientation, we are excited to invite you to finalize your application process by developing a student education plan to map out your LACC academic journey. Not only is this a mandatory step in the process of onboarding to the First Year Experience/Promise program but the good news it also gives you priority enrollment into classes. Once you complete the educational plan and orientation, you can register for the First Year Experience program and get your tuition at NO COST! Isn’t that amazing? Application and Orientation Workshops
To assist students with their onboarding process, we have provided a list of workshops using Zoom. All meetings will be held at 3pm.

- Application Workshops: Mondays and Wednesdays 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Orientation Workshops: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:00 p.m.
College Fairs
- Representatives attend college fairs in local high schools, the community, and the LA area.
High School Visits
- Students are provided with assistance during their transition to LACC.
- Student Recruiters inform students of academic programs, services, and resources offered. Please check with your high school counselor for meeting times and dates or contact outreach@lacitycollege.edu.
- Local students can receive assistance with application, orientation, and financial aid workshops.
- Classroom Presentations are provided to educate students about the processes.
