Upward Bound Family Support
We strongly support the involvement of parents and guardians in their children's academic lives. Their attendance and participation at events, such as luncheons, student presentations, field trips, etc. are encouraged.
Northern California University Tour
One of the Upward Bound program's missions is to expose students to colleges and universities throughout California, as well as offer the opportunity to experience college life through various trips. This year the juniors had the opportunity to go on our "Northern California University Tour," a three-day trip to visit five universities in Northern California and learn about each campus. Our tour included UC Merced, San Jose State University, San Francisco State, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Berkeley as well as a quick view of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Students met with UB alumni, toured each campus, talked to admissions representatives, and engaged with student organizations.
