First Year Experience

FYE students are required to complete three visits at the Writing Support Center. FYE students can fulfill this requirement with any of the following activities:

• Visiting a tutor for an individual tutoring session
• Dropping off a paper for feedback from a tutor
• Attending a workshop
• Completing Achieve online grammar and writing program activities

The final day to complete hours for FYE credit is the last regular Friday of instruction (the Friday before finals week). Attendance reports for FYE students are provided to the FYE counselors periodically throughout the semester.
