Degrees & Certificates

The Psychology and Human Services department offers six academic pathways. Students can choose from an Associate Degrees for Transfer, an Associate in Arts, and Certificates of Achievements.

The Associates Degree for Transfer is designed to assist students in the seamless transfer to the California State University (CSU) system for attainment of a baccalaureate degree. Our department offers two Associate Degree for Transfer pathways: one in Psychology and another in Social Work & Human Services. Students can meet with a counselor and follow a set pathway towards achieving these respective transfer degrees.

Our Human Services Program offers two Associate Degree options. Students can earn Associate in Arts degrees in Addiction Studies and/or Generalist/Mental Health Studies. Completion of AA degrees requires general education coursework outside of the department and meets the criteria for earning a Certificate of Achievement.

Lastly, Human Services students can choose to focus on Certificates of Achievement in Addiction Studies and/or Generalist/Mental Health Studies. Certificates of achievement require only core courses within the programs and do not require general education coursework.
