Experienced CalWORKs Academic Counselors
Counselors eagerly assist students in choosing career goals, planning for transfer to four-year universities, preparing for graduation with an Associate’s degree, and/or preparing students to pass the GED exam.
One-On-One Counseling Appointments
Students receive one-on-one counseling appointments and individualized educational plans suited to their educational goals.
Orientation and Workshops
Counselors conduct New Student Orientations to introduce the CalWORKs program and services that will help participants meet their educational goals.
Priority Registration
Students automatically receive priority registration as they make progress toward their educational goals.
Procedure to Meet with a Counselor:
- Schedule a half-hour counseling appointment.
- Please keep in mind: if you arrive 10 minutes late to your appointment, it will be rescheduled.
